This season that opened at the end of September 2023 is one of empowerment. Our Father is wanting to hand out authority, anointing and power because there are certain things set up across the earth that He wants to correct. He does this with His people but He will not empower those who will be taken sideways by it and spend it on themselves. He cares too much to let that happen to you. There are too many “ministries” now that have gone sideways and are spending power and anointing on themselves and promoting their ”ministries” and getting their name in the lights. Our Father doesn’t want you getting taken out of sonship with Him and losing you to the driving forces of this kind of selfishness.
For the last 16 years He has been calling us to come closer. 15 years of various calls to sonship and last year a call to get ready. Now it is time and so many in the Family have not responded to His calls and they have not drawn close to Him and He cannot trust them with empowerment.
We are encouraged to trust God in many places in the Bible. Do you want our Father to trust you?
What do you think He requires of you so that He trusts you?
Some think it is salvation surrender that makes us trustworthy, others some form of the fruits of the spirit. It is more than salvation and it is one central thing that that enables many of the other things we think of as making us trustworthy to Him.
What do you think is the true centre of your existence? Be honest - work, sport, children, spouse, car etc
Maintaining a focus to centre our existence on Jesus is essential for gaining His trust.
It’s about where our hearts focus and there is a lot in scripture that points this way.
What scripture can you think of that is about trying to be Jesus centred?
Lets start with Jesus commission in Matthew 28:18
Matthew 28:18
All authority is given to Jesus in heaven and in earth. No place is left for us to be unsafe.
Go is outward focus – and do what? Make disciples or teach, it can be translated either way so both are true.
The centre is Jesus because what He commands us to teach is His words and life. Holy Spirit will empower that.
Centring on Jesus is right here!!
John 1:12. Power to become - exousia (is an ability word); privilege, that is, (subjectively) force, capacity, competency, freedom, or mastery - authority, jurisdiction, liberty, power, right, strength. I thought for a long time that this verse was about power to be, not become. Becoming is a process and we have authority to become only when we receive Him and walk that out. Surrender is a way of life daily!
1 Peter 1:2 Do you see yourself as elect, chosen?
Authority diagram – turkey layer and Family layer. Turkeys scratch around in the earth, eagles fly high.
Go and teach all nations. Go out, be outgoing not hiding, - relying on Jesus for security.
Teaching them to observe all things, whatever I commanded you.
He is with us all the days until the end of the world. So as we walk as he walked we are safe.
How did He walk? Completely dependent on His Father. I do what I see My Father doing and I say what He says. Summary
of John 14:10; John 12:49; John 5:19-20; 30;
Lets look in John 15
How did He tell us to walk? –
John 15:1-17
1 I am the True Vine, and My Father is the Vinedresser. The vine is central to the branch
2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away. And every one that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bring forth more fruit. Its a relief to loose the weight of deadwood - sometimes pruning hurts a bit
3 Now you are clean through the Word which I have spoken to you. Jesus words have power so read some every day.
4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. Abide (menoo) means dwell, continue, tarry and remain
5 I am the Vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered. And they gather and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
This can happen at different levels. At judgement time and here on earth - life burns us until we re-centre on Jesus in heart.
7 If you abide in Me, and My Words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done to you.
8 In this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit, so you shall be My disciples.
9 As the Father has loved Me, so I have loved you; continue in My love.
10 If you keep My commandments, you shall abide in My love, even as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love.
11 I have spoken these things to you so that My joy might remain in you and your joy might be full.
12 This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
13 No one has greater love than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
14 You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.
15 No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master does. But I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you.
16 You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and ordained you that you should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatever you shall ask of the Father in My name, He may give it to you.
17 These things I command you, that you love one another.
V7 ; v16 fruit of answered prayer from living by His words.
When we are centred on Jesus we experience Kingdom Family life. What this looks like is described in John ch 1-3, 1 John 2 and John 17
John14:23-26 Jesus answered and said to him, If a man loves Me, he will keep My Word. And My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him.
24 He who does not love Me does not keep My Words, and the Word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father's who sent Me.
25 I have spoken these things to you, being present with you.
26 But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance, whatever I have said to you.
So do we as reminded by Holy Spirit
John 5:19; Then Jesus answered and said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.
30; I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.
John 6:63 It is the Spirit that makes alive, the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit and are life.
1 John 2:6 walk as He walked, not by formula. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.
We are on a journey led by Holy Spirit into greater oneness with the ones who are one.
Joh 17:18
As You have sent Me into the world, even so I have sent them into the world.
Joh 17:19 And I sanctify Myself for their sakes, so that they also might be sanctified in truth.
Joh 17:20 And I do not pray for these alone, but for those also who shall believe on Me through their word,
Joh 17:21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, so that the world may believe that You have sent Me.
Joh 17:22 And I have given them the glory which You have given Me, that they may be one, even as We are one,
Oneness empowers Jesus commission in Matthew 28, but only if people engage and surrender. Stop trying to operate this according to your agendas. That conversation is very one sided and gives our Father no room to move and expand your horizons.
One of our biggest problems is ourselves. We all engage in self cursing. This a problem we all face because self cursing is saying and believing anything that is not the truth of oneness.
The opposite of oneness is any thought about being alone or any process of life that we assume is done without Him. We do that all the time don't we. Every time we curse ourselves by reinforcing separate existence belief without realising it.
Some things to do every day that change your way of life.
Engage in thinking about where you are in the Kingdom of Jesus Christ and who you are in the Kingdom of Jesus. That will bring a Kingdom shift to your heart that influences a change of belief.
Then Proclaim over yourself who you really are to reverse the self cursing you have been doing. that leads into more surrender and a deeper experience of Him.
Become centred on Jesus and on who your Father really is and He will trust you.
Ask Dad to show you who He really is, not what you think or what others think even if it hurts a bit. Cry out from the heart “I want to know you as you really are”.
