What is our Father like

By Michael

Our Father is good and only has goodness to pour out to His children.

His heart is for you not against you.

In Jesus Christ He gave you His own righteous place to stand in, His own powerful life to live out of and out through you.

The world bombards us with sour thoughts and convinces us of evil and that His control in our lives is abstract.

His control and power is real and dynamic and ready.  So relax, surrender to Jesus Christ and let Him be to you all that you want and need.

He is intimately involved in each of our lives and He weeps over the state of powerlessness that we are persuaded to every day.

His vision of an empowered Family is being frustrated again and again and He feels it keenly because He wants to see each of us fired and fulfilled in His powerful Life that lives in each of us.

He desires to encourage and empower His children, even though we are spiritually not of this world.  Satan has been imprisoned here but we need to walk free and remember that this is not our final home or "continuing city".

Adjust to that and begin to look and work for the more that you may or may not glimpse beyond time.

Dimensions of beauty far in excess of anything here exist beyond the time barrier in which Satan has been confined.

God made all of it with His children in mind, to share with them.  He is powerful and gracious.  Mighty and compassionate.  Strongly disciplined and deeply loving.

Hebrews 13:14 For here we have no continuing city, cut we seek the one to come.

John 17:15-16 I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one.  They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

1 Corinthians 16v13,14 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.

1Co 16:14  Let all that ye do be done in love.

Ephesians 3:14-21  For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, that ye may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inward man; that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; to the end that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be strong to apprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which passeth knowledge, that ye may be filled unto all the fulness of God.

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,unto him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus unto all generations for ever and ever. Amen.

Eph 4:1  I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beseech you to walk worthily of the calling wherewith ye were called, with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; giving diligence to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

There is one body, and one Spirit, even as also ye were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all, and through all, and in all.

But unto each one of us was the grace given according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

Eph 4:14   That we may be no longer children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error;

Joh 3:16-21   For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life.

For God sent not the Son into the world to judge the world; but that the world should be saved through him.

He that believeth on him is not judged: he that believeth not hath been judged already, because he hath not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God.

And this is the judgment, that the light is come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their works were evil.

For every one that doeth ill hateth the light, and cometh not to the light, lest his works should be reproved.

But he that doeth the truth cometh to the light, that his works may be made manifest, that they have been wrought in God.

Let His love pick you up and fire you up.

Settle in your heart to do good and practise light in spite of what is going down around you.

Lean to your spirit and the strength that is there to be at peace and do good.

Use Jesus' prayer structure to set up each new day and live out the power that resides in you.

Be a good host to Holy Spirit, welcoming His wisdom thoughts as much as you can.

Our father is Good and has much more for each of us.
